What's the Worst Thing That Could Happen?
What's The Worst Thing That Could Happen?
This is a new adventure for me. I have always wanted to start a blog, put ideas out there and spark new ones, impact even just one person. So here I am, dipping my toes into the blogging waters.
Who am I?
I am just a girl from New Jersey who grew up on cotton candy, sausage and peppers, funnel cakes, beaches, amusement parks and all things you've seen "down the shore". I went to a local college, got my degree in Biology and entered the world of corporate America. I work in the Pharmaceuticals industry and have since the beginning of my career. I have two amazing kiddos that constantly remind me of the fun and innocence there is out there. Right now, I am exploring what more is out there than just the daily grind of sleep, eat, work, repeat. I do love my job but am looking for something more in life. So, I type to you. What am I about?
I love all things crafty, getting my hands dirty and seeing a result of hard work in the end. From home improvement projects, to crochet, cooking and homemade products, if I think I can make it, I'll try it! When I was younger, I tried to make everything. I taught myself plastic canvas, baked crazy things like a huge bunny cake for Easter and later in life, taught myself how to sew and crochet. I've learned how to use power tools from all the men in my life and can handle myself with simple auto repairs too. Even though it doesn't always work out, if I think I can do it myself, I'll try it. Sometimes I'm impressed, sometimes challenged and sometimes, well, let's just say "oops" 😐. Regardless, it is always a learning experience. Learn from what you do right and learn even more from what you do wrong. My mantra?
"What's the worst that could happen?" From an early age, my father used to always say that to me and I never really got it. As I got older, I understood. No matter what you apply it to, what's the worst that could happen? Life is full of surprises and choices. If we hide from them all, we won't grow. So when faced with a choice, ask "What's the worst that could happen?" For me, 9 times out of 10, the "worst" thing isn't as bad as you may have originally thought.
So what's the worst thing that could happen in this endeavor to blog? I try it, put ideas and actions out there and no one responds. So what? I tried. Without trying, I'd never know if I could do it.
